European Procurement Manager (m/f)

Job description:
European Procurement Manager who will be responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies, tracking metrics to reduce expenses, negotiating deals, and managing vendors. They ensure clear requirements, forecast market trends, mitigate risks, and collaborate with stakeholders. Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills are required.
Responsibilities and authorities:
- Develop a procurement strategy
- Manages other members of the procurement team
- Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers
- Builds and maintains relationships with vendors
- Ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Serve as the Escalation point of contact for end-users and warehouse managers regarding procurement inquiries
- Source technical equipment and spare parts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Maintain alignment with customers regarding critical inventory levels
- Provide reports on procurement trends, supplier performance, and on-time delivery (OTD)
- Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers
Skills, education, or experience required:
- Technical procurement experience (minimum 5 years)
- Familiarity with the global supply base
- Strong sourcing and negotiation skills
- Experience in Pharma procurement
- Experience with ERP systems (Priority preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel – including VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, Word)
- Customer-facing experience
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written & spoken)
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
