For our client, TECE Industrial, part of the TECE GmbH group, a family-owned company headquartered in Germany and specializing in innovative sanitary and heating solutions for over 30 years, we are looking for a:
Managing Director (m/f)
With a presence in 27 countries and production facilities in Germany, Poland, China, and, starting in 2026, in Croatia, TECE stands out for its customer proximity, product quality, and long-term sustainability. To further strengthen TECE’s international production and technical team, the new Managing Director will play a key role at the manufacturing plant in Croatia.
In this role, you will be a member of the TECE group’s technical committee and report directly to the group’s Technical Director.
Workplace description
The position of the Managing Director includes managing the location and the factory of the new manufacturing location (“TCC”) in Novska which will be built based on the greenfield approach. Accordingly, with the first filling of this post, the development of the new plant is the initial, key focus. That refers in particular to:
establishing TCC organization, gradual filling of key posts in all the relevant departments and functions in coordination with the central group functions, as well as qualifications and onboarding of employees,
monitoring construction measures and installing household technology in cooperation with TCC project management,
monitoring production relocation from TECE locations, and installation and commissioning of new machines and systems,
enabling and activation of serial production for the acceptance of the manufacturing plant.
Strategic goals and tasks
continuous location development in the sense of production procedures and processes, project and quality management, including the implementation of TECE standards,
continuous optimization of production with the help of CIP, lean and other methods,
further development of location strategy and implementation of strategic goals of the group in the factory,
close cooperation with the management and other business areas or companies in the country and abroad, and therefore also
active interdisciplinary cooperation with central and decentralized functions, other plants and departments in the group, in particular product management/development, strategic procurement, corporate quality management, technical controlling, corporate logistics or finances/accounting.
Operational tasks
supervision and control of production goals according to key indicators, and identification of weak points and their rectification,
responsibility for capacity and resource planning,
planning and preparation of investment decisions, and budget planning with related reporting,
production cost optimization while maintaining quality standards,
intense cooperation in product development teams (NPP projects) for achieving project goals related to quality, deadlines and cost,
conceptual monitoring, introduction and continuous improvement of continuous improvement process (CIP), development of rational measures with lean production tools, as well as ensuring undisturbed production with deadline, quality and performance maintenance,
implementation, further development and checking the quality management system in coordination with central functions, including participation in audits and process evaluations,
planning and coordination of construction measures, maintenance and adaptation measures,
ensuring preventive maintenance,
assuming responsibility related to “occupational safety and health protection” for own area of responsibility (HSE management)
We expect from you…
You have a university degree – mechanical engineer or higher education in the field of industrial engineering. Additional technical education with relevant qualification in the field of metal and/or plastics technology is desirable.
Experienced manager with proven success in setting up and managing medium-sized international manufacturing plants in the field of metal and plastic industry.
Experience in setting up organizational and factory structures
Very good knowledge of using lean methods (Six Sigma, TPM, KANBAN, SMED, 5S, etc.) and relevant Q tools
Good knowledge of the use of ERP SAP S4 system and other software tools in the production environment (BDE/MES…)
Many years of professional and social experience in managing commercial and industrial managers and teams in production
Very good knowledge of written and spoken English, possibly also knowledge of German
Good technical and business knowledge with strong strategic competence, to be able to efficiently manage all necessary areas of the manufacturing plant
Structured, self-organized work with a clear focus on priorities
Dedication, desire to create and managerial capabilities combined with empathy and reliability
Exceptional proficiency in negotiations, acquisition and presentation with analytical thinking skills
Pronounced communication skills and focus on the customer, in combination with entrepreneurial thinking and acting.
Readiness to travel around the world to manage decentralized expert support and important talks with suppliers and customers
