Accountant (m/f)

On behalf of our client, a global leader in specialty chemicals for construction and industry, we are seeking a qualified professional for the position of:

Accountant (m/f)

Location: Lučko, Zagreb

*Please note that as of early to mid-2027, the primary work location will be Vukovina (Velika Gorica).

Responsibilities

• Booking incoming and outgoing invoices as well as other business transactions
• Recording and reconciling bank statements
• Participating in monthly and annual financial year-end closes
• Reconciling general ledger accounts and analyzing open items
• Tracking accounts receivable and payable, and communicating with customers and suppliers
• Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory reports
• Preparing documentation for internal and external audits
• Preparing standard financial reports and analyses
• Collaborating with other departments and supporting the optimization of financial processes

Requirements

• University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Economics/Business Administration
• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
• Good knowledge of accounting and tax regulations
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is an advantage)
• Good command of written and spoken English
• High level of accuracy, responsibility, and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic international environment
